BACKGROUNDKaito was born into a family with a hard working father, a loving mother and a talented sister. They did things like normal families would, like share their meals together and wish for each others happiness. His Father was a muggle that worked hard for his family, rarely seeing them and giving everything he had for their well being. His Mother worked part time in a wizarding shop and tutored her children in music whenever she could. Meiko, his older sister found a talent in singing from a young age and later went on to join their private academy's choir. Since his Mother descended from Witches, his sisters powers came about far earlier than his magical abilities ever did. It was almost his seventh birthday before the first signs started appearing. With lots of practice, he found a small talent in the piano and together, they dueted for their families entertainment.

They continued to live their lives that way for quite some time, until one rather sullen evening, an accident was reported and that tragic call came to alert them of the accident that happened. Their Mother had always been close with their Aunt and she was the first person they alerted. Unfortunately, it was too late for their Mother, who died instantly and their Father died in critical condition. Both siblings took the deaths hard and immediately moved in with their Aunt, who encouraged their musical pursuits. Over time, Kaito's talents branched out from the piano to the keyboard, the guitar and finding a singing talent of his own. The day Meiko's letter came in for Hogwarts was one to be celebrated, having come into her abilities and had discovered new ones over time. Kaito still had a long way to go, but it was his Aunt's encouragement to succeed that pushed him to try his hand at magic. Eventually, his efforts paid off and he received his own letter to attend Hogwarts, much like some of the members in his family had.

Kaito took to his new surroundings quite easily, making friends wherever he could. He asked the Professors for help when he needed it and slowly started refining his own magical ability. The people around him really encouraged him to try his best and he put effort into his studies, hoping to catch up to Meiko's level and make his Aunt proud of his successes. He found he enjoyed spending time near the lake and the Herbology green house when he wasn't studying, because he could practice his singing without bothering others. It was through experimentation that he realized when he sang certain spells, his powers were increased. It was something he decided to work on without calling attention to it.
